The prior programme is evidence of place, not a 2026 calendar

The official destination page records Advent Poreč 2025/26 from 6 December to 4 January on Matija Gubec Square, with concerts, family activity, an ice rink and New Year programming. That proves how the most recent season used the Old Town.

At the 29 August 2026 review, that was the latest official visitor programme located. Keep every date, performer, facility and opening time labelled as prior-season context until the responsible destination publishes the 2026/27 edition.

Old Town removes the journey the festive trip repeats

The destination authority places the historic centre on the peninsula, and the recent Advent programme used a square inside that central fabric. If the lights, evening programme and short return are the purpose, Old Town or its immediate edge is the lowest-friction shortlist.

The central label does not guarantee vehicle access, step-free arrival, quietness or parking. Trace the actual entrance and luggage route, then compare it with the confirmed 2026/27 event map when released.

Christmas removes one of Poreč's familiar summer connections

The official tourist-train page describes operation from April to October. It should therefore not support a Christmas transport plan between the centre and the southern lagoon resorts. Seasonal boat references need the same date-specific caution.

Arriva confirms the central bus station and local route structure, but not a universal festive timetable. A no-car Christmas stay needs the exact arrival service, final stop and return time checked for the travel date.

Use two refresh dates instead of one confident guess

First refresh when the official 2026/27 programme is published: confirm dates, locations and the event nights you actually value. Refresh again shortly before departure: accommodation operation, local transport, restaurant hours and any weather-related change remain live details.

When the programme is pending, use flexible booking terms. A listing in a summer-rich destination does not prove that the property, restaurant or resort facility operates through Christmas.
